Porch-side Popups and Montrose Open House
Each fall Colorado West Land Trust hosts community events designed to help us get to know our landowners, supporters, and community members a little better.
On October 19th, the Land Trust held a Montrose Open House in the southeast portion of our region where over 35 individuals joined us to hear about CWLT’s latest efforts. We enjoyed visiting the CWLT community in this area and testing your knowledge with some trivia. We’d also like the thank CWLT Board Member, CJ Brafford, for hosting us at the Ute Indian Museum and sharing with us!
Over the next two weeks, we held a number of different pop-up events in Grand Junction in an effort to connect with landowners, supporters, and community members. This included two happy hours, two lunches, and a morning coffee. We had a great turnout with over 150 people stopping by over the two days. These events are a great chance to visit one-on-one and hold longer meaningful conversations and share the current work of the land trust. A big thank you to all who attended and made these events so successful!
